My Story

Hello, I’m Yoshiko Slater, a senior Marketing Communications major at Emerson College, with a double minor in Public Relations and Hearing and Deafness. As a creator, I’m driven by YSpirit—the energy that fuels my passion for transforming ideas into meaningful, tangible experiences. I love traveling and collaborating with people who have the same drive to explore the limitless potential of every opportunity. Every project is an invitation to dive deeper, to look beyond the surface, and to experience the world in new, unexpected ways. Whether working on a marketing campaign, crafting a compelling narrative, or bringing a creative vision to life through photography or art, I always aim to engage the mind and inspire action.

As a student-athlete—serving as my soccer team’s captain for three out of four years—has allowed me to hone my leadership skills both on and off the field. Balancing athletics with academics taught me time management, resilience, and how to lead by example, guiding my team through challenges and fostering collaboration in every endeavor.
